What is radiant heat?
Radiant heat is simply a form of energy that heat objects directly without
having to heat the air in between. Radiant heat is also called infrared energy
(IR). The infrared segment of the electromagnetic spectrum occurs just below
or to red light. This band of light is not visible to human eyes but we can
feel this type of light, which we perceive as heat. When this happens, it creates
a natural resonance, which has many beneficial properties. The sun is the principle
source of radiant energy. Never to be confused with ultra-violet energy. Remember
the last time you were sun tanning with sunscreen? Were you hot? Of course you
were because the sunscreen only stops the UV (ultraviolet) light from hitting
your skin. The Far-Infrared heat (FIR light waves) penetrates your skin, giving
you that wonderful feeling of natural warmth.
You can be exposed to Far-Infrared heat for hours and it will never cause your
skin to burn. Far-Infrared heat is completely healthy and safe for all living
things. In fact, it is so safe that it is used in the hospitals to warm newborn
infants.

What to Bring
We ask that you bring two towels, one to wrap yourself in and the other to
sit on. Also, bring a bottle of water to re-hydrate yourself. There are no showers
but toweling off is usually sufficient enough.
Precautions
Prescription Drugs: check with your health care professional for possible changes in the drug's effect due to an interaction with infrared therapy.
Check with your health care professional if you have any ailments, joint problems, surgical implants, silicone, are predisposed to hemorrhaging or are pregnant.
Should any condition worsen with the use of an infrared system, the use of
the system should be discontinued.
